The primary purpose of the Ashfield Greens Website is to communicate our key messages and about Greens issues, policies, priorities and activities.
In particular the Website is a vehicle to support our work to promote and apply, in the Ashfield Municipality and beyond, the 4 principles of the Australian Greens:
- Ecological sustainability
- Social justice
- Grass-roots democracy
- Non-violence and disarmament
It is also a medium to help us to communicate and promote our key 2009 objectives for the Ashfield Greens which are:
- Act to reduce climate change
- Promote sustainable development – encompassing both social and environmental
- Protect and enhance greenways and open spaces
- Reduce car dependency and increase public transport, cycle usage and walking.
All content on the site must be consistent with these principles and objectives, or any policies of the Australian Greens.
We do not allow advertising on the site. Any promotion of external websites, groups, organisations, events and enterprises must only occur within the context of content related to our primary purpose.
